Prerequisites

The Course is addressed to students at Master level. Students should have already acquired basic knowledge of marketing and business strategy. 



Development of the course

The Course will be developed through lectures that will be combined with frequent class discussions about real case studies. A project work on an international business case will be carried out by the students, the entrepreneur will be invited as guest lecturer. Lectures will be supported by presentations and multimedia tools. 



Learning outcomes

1. Knowledge and Understanding: After completing the Course, students will be able to understand the main dynamics of international markets regarding the innovation processes in business and in the marketing strategies as well as the impact of the internationalization. 
2. Applying knowledge and understanding: students will be able to adopt a strategic approach to marketing that will allow them to apply analysis and operational tools, with a long-term vision. 
3. Judgement, focus and communication skills: the highly operational approach given to the course, will ensure students to acquire skills such as team work, debate, planning and negotiation.

·    Business Case: digital internationalization, selling online in foreign markets

Development of the examination

1.Examination:
The exam will be taken through a written test + a project work 
Class participation, case analysis and debate will be evaluated. 
2. Assessment criteria
During the examination (written and practical), students will have to demonstrate a clear understanding of the main concept addressed during the lessons as well as the acquisition of those skills put into practice during the exercises. The final grade will be the results of the sum of the project work (50%) and the written test (50%).
3. Grading scale
Positive grades: from 18 to 30. Cum laude can be bestowed to outstanding performance.
4. Grading method
Students who will demonstrate critical, analytical, deep and comprehensive understanding of the theoretical and practical contents of the Course, will get the highest rating. 

 

 



Recommended reading

Mandatory textbook: the selection of articles and reference materials will be provided during the first the first lecture.
