The purpose of this course is to introduce students to team dynamics

How to build and manage high performance teams

3. Judgement, focus  and  communication skills
Ability to manage some of the common "pitfalls" team members encounter.



Program

The course will be designed around three main areas, all of which are important for functional work teams. The first main area will focus on developing and maintaining high performing work teams. The second main area will focus on conflict management in teams. The third and final main area will focus on work place negotiations. Each of these topics has important implications for being a high performing employee in most work settings.

Building resilience in small work teams
Introduction to the dynamics of negotiations

Negotiation strategies (part 2)
Concluding discussion



Development of the examination

1. Exam.
Written plus presentations

2. Assessment criteria.
A passing grade or better is earned by completing all requirements

3. Grading scale
Positive grades from 18 to 30. Cum laude can be bestowed  to outstanding performance

4. Grading method
Weighted average of the test and presentations
