Lectures, hands-on activities, exercise discussions and cases.



Learning outcomes

Recognize and explain most basic organizational concepts, theories and terms.
2. Applying knowledge and  understanding
Apply the concepts to real organizational simulations or cases
3. Judgement, focus  and  communication skills
Discuss tools and approaches recommended to manage human behavior and capitalize on the strengths of human behavior in organizations

 



Program

The course will cover many of the fundamental topics that leaders need to understand including leadership, motivation, conflict, negotiation, organizational culture, stress management, managing diversity, organizational change and much more. You will learn relevant theoretical and factual information and you will participate innumerous active learning activities. Critical thinking is emphasized through hands-on activities, exercises discussions and cases that will help you to build familiarity with key concepts. I know you will find this course to be challenging and I hope you will grow as you study and learn about human behavior in organizations.



Development of the examination

1. Exam.
The assessment of the performance is based mostly on the Course Paper, the Team Project, class participation and attendance and final written exam.
2. Assessment criteria.
3. Grading scale
Positive grades from 18 to 30. Cum laude can be bestowed  to outstanding performance
The final grade of International Business and Communication will be an average of the two modules.
4. Grading method
Weights are approximately one third for the Course Paper, one third for the Team Project and Presentation, one third to class participation and final test.
